Welcome

If you searched for me intentionally or found me by accident, I’m glad you’re here!

I love writing books in my little office with a view from the window and a cup of coffee nearby. I never intended to be a writer, but like the theme of my books, life changes things. I was raised on a farm in Nebraska and still find comfort on the prairie. I went to college to study elementary music education and have always had some form of music in what I do. But that was not my career. In fact, I didn’t really have a career. I did a variety of things to stay employed until I came to my final employment as a children’s librarian. What a perfect job for me! I love books. I love the feeling of holding a book in my hands. I love having the story come alive at the flip of a page. And when I’m in a library or a bookstore, I’m like a kid in a toy store. I bet you feel the same way.

My husband, Jim, and I live in Minnesota. Together, we have six children, fifteen grandchildren, and a host of many dear friends. We are retired now and busy. I’m surprised at how busy we are, and I have often wondered – before retirement, how did we ever find time to work? I enjoy playing the piano and volunteering at our Lutheran church as the church librarian and prayer circle leader.   I like doing crossword puzzles and anything that involves the written word.

My stories are Christian fiction. The characters are good people, Christians just managing life the best they can. Their struggles may seem all too familiar. And their path back to God through repentance (or not) will bring them peace, comfort, and contentment. I wish that for all my readers. After seeing what the Lord has done in my life, I have found those things. And I want to share the love of Jesus with everyone.
